Twenty20 World Cup

The Sky Sports campaign for the India 2016 ICC World Twenty20 – which Sky had exclusive television rights to broadcast. With this in mind a fairly fierce and impactful campaign was required to hit home the atmosphere, volatility and excitement that only T20 cricket can deliver. The campaign was based on placing the viewer at the heart of the action, at the crease, on-point. Witness first-hand the intensity between rival teams, experience a fast-ball, hurled at you from one of the world’s fastest bowlers (Dale Steyn) and be involved in the drama of a fast-paced passage of play.

Shot with talent on location at Newlands cricket ground, Cape Town, SA using helmet mounted cameras. Edited back in London and passed on to MPC who were charged with building and compositing the sequence within a realistic looking Eden Gardens, the venue for the final.
