Big, bold, loud and slightly crass. NFL is anything but subtle and neither is this title sequence. Using the texture of the pimples on the football, each team is represented as these elements explode, extrude and form the crests of all thirty-two teams. Throughout the sequence the bullet-timed, spinning ball travels through a sparse environment with an abstract ‘grid iron’ assembly, resolving into the official NFL logo.

The audio track is deliberately disruptive – grungy – reflective of the aggressive personality of the sport and is complemented brilliantly with outrageously enthusiastic commentary grabs.
