Test cricket is stooped in history and tradition and with that in mind, this sequence celebrates those ethics. At the epicenter of this game is the ball, of which it’s construction is a heritage in its own right. Formed of cork, surrounded by tightly wound string and encased in leather, it becomes the feature of this title sequence. Bursting into life from the opening scene, the string takes centre stage forming the various forms and motions of the game of cricket, in an elegant time-ramped edit, inter-cut with mirrored live-action footage.
